Smolich Brothers Home Made Sausage, Inc., is a family-run business that has been passed down from one generation to another.  Having been established in 1971 by Ed and Rudy Smolich, the establishment is now being run by their nephew, Joe Smolich.

Joe has been involved with this business since 1975.  From the outset of our business through today, each product is made and packaged in accordance to the strict controls of Federal and State regulatory agencies.

  • Our sausage is MADE FRESH DAILY.
  • NO FILLERS SUCH AS SOYBEAN ARE USED (check your labels!), guaranteeing that what you receive from us is pure sausage.
  • The casings that we use are ALL NATURAL (rather than edible plastic).
  • The above guarantees a more FLAVORFUL AND TASTEFUL sausage!

Additionally, our facility at Theodore and Raynor in Crest Hill contains a smoke house right on the premises to assure that any smoked items you may purchase are fresh and tasteful.  For fresh, high quality sausage priced right, you can't beat our sausage.  Come on in!

We sell our quality sausage to walk-in customers.  People use our sausage for many dishes: 

  • Our fresh Italian, bratwurst, polish and smoked sausages, along with the Daisy brand hot dogs, are great for cookouts and tail gating!
  • Our pork sausage is primarily used for breakfast.
  • Our mild Italian sausage is great for sandwiches or with spaghetti.
  • Greasy pizza usually results from low-quality sausage.  Try our pizza sausage for a more flavorful and less greasy pizza.
  • Our smokies and fresh polish sausage is best with boiled potatoes and sauerkraut.
  • Our mild Italian and pork sausage is excellent for turkey stuffing.

Monday-Saturday 11am-4pm (Sometimes we are out to lunch, so it is best to call us ahead of time at (815) 727-2144 to make sure someone is at the store.)  We are closed Sundays.
